Members Start Party

It’s been some time since we had a star party at Standalone Farm and made wider use of the observatory.

Before we do any ‘public’ events we thought it would be a good idea to have a members star party / observing evening first. This will give us chance to give the observatory a good shakedown and see how we might plan for a public event in future.

As such, we hope that some members will join us in opening the observatory next Saturday, 28th February. We hope to head up for around 5pm to get setup and plan to be operational by 6pm or so.

As well as the observatory, we plan to have some other visual telescopes setup as well as some smart telescopes. Feel free to bring your own equipment along as well.

This is all subject to weather - Grant will drop an email note around Saturday morning to confirm go/no go
