Exoplanets and biosignatures - including the latest on the K2-18b kerfuffle.
Dr Matthew Bothwell
This month’s meeting is an important one as we have our Hon president Dr Matthew Bothwell coming to give us his yearly talk. Matt as most of you know is the head of outreach for the Institute of Astronomy at the University of Cambridge and always delivers exceedingly good talks to his society. Last years was on Dark Matter but this year's is on "Exoplanets and biosignatures - including the latest on the K2-18b kerfuffle". So please don't miss an opportunity to have Matt explain what makes K2-18b so interesting.
And after the break - Roger Lovegrove: “Helium 3 (He3)”
For those of you who heard of the discussion after Ezzy Pearson’s talk in February there was a fair degree of discussion initiated by Roger about the potential of mining He3 on the Moon.
Roger has kindly volunteered to help fill in our knowledge about He3
£2 for Members and £3 for Guests.
This meeting will be held at Standalone Farm and will also be available over Zoom to Members. Please purchase your tickets in advance via MemberMojo to receive the Zoom link.
Guests can attend two physical meetings in the year before having to pay membership.
