Quiz Night

This will be a social evening at Standalone with a quiz competition to win the new Richard Stratford Cup.  Richard as most members will know was a quiet and extremely knowledgeable person who sadly passed away.  He kindly donated his substantial collection of astronomy books to the society.  Richard’s family have donated a quiz cup (Richard Stratford Memorial Trophy) for which we will have compete for at the meeting.  We used to hold quiz’s at the AGM in December but COVID and Standalone’s use of the room over Christmas have prevented this.  In past year’s, if you were on Richard’s team you always won!.   The whole evening is very much a social event with a nice bit of friendly competition.
