“13 Journeys Through Space and Time”, a talk by Colin Stuart. From Colin ‘I am an astronomy author and speaker and I have recently written a book, with the Royal Institution, called 13 Journeys Through Space and Time which discusses space science lectures at the RI. Tonights talk charts our changing understanding of the cosmos from the first lecture featured (1881) to Kevin Fong’s 2015 lectures when he linked up with Tim Peake aboard the ISS, and how our ideas about everything from sunspots to dark matter have evolved over more than a century’.

There will also be a summary of the latest astronomy news and some info on what can be seen in the sky during May. Refreshments will be available.
