International Sun Day – event postponed

We have decided to postpone the event proposed for June 21. The forecast for Sunday morning is for mostly cloud which isn't very helpful! Additionally, the sun is very quiet so there isn't much to see. We will attempt another go at this in the coming weeks when we get a good forecast. Hopefully, there may be a sunspot to see. International Observe the Moon Event – Sat 26 September

Saturday is 'International Observe the Moon Day'. We are going to participate by holding a virtual observing evening to be broadcast on Facebook. Several club members will broadcast live video of the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn from their observatories, weather permitting of course. We may also be able to view some other objects such as the /ring Nebula and the Dumbbell Nebula.
