Dr Niall Deacon will be giving a talk on ‘Brown Dwarfs’.

“Niall is a research fellow at the University of Hertfordshire. After completing his PhD at the University of Edinburgh he has held postdoctoral research appointments at Radboud University Nijmegen, the University of Hawai`i and the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg. His research focusses on substellar objects known as brown dwarfs, giant planets in wide orbits, free-floating planetary-mass objects and the effect of stellar multiplicity on planet occurrence. In his spare time he supports unsuccessful sport teams who wear dark blue.”
